The Server Operation Timed Out. Please Try Again Later.

Outlook Web App 2010 - The server performance timed out. Delight try again later

A big number of our staff have been experiencing the error below (see screenshot)

    http://i52.tinypic.com/2mc8saa.jpg and http://i55.tinypic.com/28hopl4.jpg

for over a week now and I seem to be getting no where in terms of fixing information technology. Things i've tried:

    Resetting the OWA VD
Ensuring clients are up to date with Windows Updates
Uninstalled Sophos (as a temp measure to run into if that is contributing to it)

I've spotted this error in eventvwr on the CAS server, but non really sure if it'south related or not as there are non also many of them.

Watson report well-nigh to be sent for process id: 8716, with parameters: E12, c-RTL-AMD64, xiv.01.0218.015, OWA, unknown, unknown, System.InvalidOperationException, 0, unknown.
    ErrorReportingEnabled: True

Does everyone have any ideas virtually what might be causing this or any suggestions for troubleshooting?

    We are using Exchange 2010 SP1 RU3.

does the ExBPA tool health check diag give u any clues?

  • #3

No... ExBPA doesn't prove anything ovbious...

    Hi Adam

Looking at the errors, I firstly just want to confirm, are you having bug with accessing OWA?

If yes, is OWA published externally? Or only internal?

    Thanks
    Sukh

  • #5

No... I don't have whatsoever problems accessing OWA, they only occur when logged in.

  • #6

One time the user is logged in, what deportment practice they take to pass the errors?
After the actions taken, do they have access to their mailbox via OWA?
Exercise you see whatsoever errors on your CAS Server under the Issue Logs?
Are at that place whatever errors on the PC where yous launch OWA from under the Outcome Logs?
If you selection a problematic user, does the issue follow them on every PC they use?
Does the consequence occur merely on certain PC's?

    Thank you
    Sukh

The deportment the users take tend to be opening an email in a new windows, running a spell check against an e-mail service. One time this happens they by and large do even so have admission to their mailbox.

There is no ovbious errors on the CAS server and I haven't seen an errors on the client that OWA is being accessed from.

The problem does seem to follow users and isn't occuring on particular PCs equally far every bit I can tell.

If you create a new user with out any windows profile and test OWA on a PC, practice yous however get the issue?

  • #9

Don't know, not tried that. Practise you lot think it could be profile related?

  • #10

Take you lot performed an IISrest /noforce on the CAS?
How many CAS servers do you have?

  • #eleven

Yep i've done a iisreset /noforce becuase its the final step when resetting the OWA virtual directory. We accept 2 CAS servers although at the moment only i is used to publish OWA. The intention is to load balance at a later stage.

  • #12

If your 2nd CAS server isn't being used yet, (I dont know the specifics of your deployment), can you point to the 2nd CAS and attempt that.

Not sure if yous have a DNS Alias for your CAS server OWA URL or non? If y'all have change this.

If not, the apply set-casmailbox for a specifc user to the second CAS and test.

    Let me know.

    Thanks
    Sukh

is this only internal when you meet the errors? I had this but later plant out information technology was impero causing information technology

  • #fourteen

Yep, just internal we are seeing the errors. Nosotros utilise Policy Central Enterprise which would be installed on all the clients having this problem....

  • #fifteen

Have you tried adding the site into the proxy exceptions list in ie and adding it equally a trusted site
